WBJEE Seat Allotment 2019

WBJEE Seat allotment 2019 will commence after e-Counselling process is completed. Seats will be based on merit/scores of the candidate. The registration for e-Counselling began on 25th June 2019 and candidates can register till 29th June 2019. Online choice filling and locking starts from 25th June 2019 till 30th June 2019.

The result for 1st round of seat allotment will be announced on 3rd July 2019.

Candidates will be allotted a seat in the participating institutions as per their merit and the choice of courses and institutes. The seat allotment will be in online mode based on the candidate’s rank in WBJEE 2019, preference and availability of seats. Candidates will have to login by using their credential to check their allotment. Fee payment must be completed in order to claim the allotted seats.

Note

Individual allotment letters will not be sent to the candidates.

Once the choices are filled and locked by the candidates, the system locks the choice after the deadline and allows no modification further. Allotment of seats will be done after this and candidates who are allotted seats will have to pay the provisional admission fee online and personally report to any one of the Reporting Centres for document verification and seat confirmation/up-gradation.

Note

If candidates fail to report at Reporting Centre during the first round of e-counselling after being allotted seats then he/she will lose the seat allotted. And, they will not be considered for further online rounds of seat allotment.

Document Verification

The candidates will have to verify their documents and pay the provisional admission fees (based on the categories and institutions) at the reporting centre as described below.

For Candidates domiciled in West Bengal:

  • Rank Card for verification of candidates’ eligibility
  • Provisional Allotment Letter (To be downloaded and printed by the candidate)
  • Confirmation page of WBJEE 2019
  • Madhyamik or 10th Standard Admit Card or Certificate (Original and self attested copy) for name and age verification
  • Caste certificate (Original and self-attested copy) for SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B category verification
  • Physically Challenged Certificate (Original and self-attested copy) for PwD category verification
  • Income Certificate (Original and self attested copy) for TFW category verification
  • Madhyamik or 10th Standard Mark sheet (Original and self attested copy) for English subject mark verification
  • High Secondary or ‘10+2’ STANDARD MARK-SHEET (Original and self attested copy) for aggregate as well as subject wise marks verification
  • Architecture Course NATA/JEE(Main) 2019 Paper-2 Certificate/Mark-sheet (Original and self attested copy) for verification for candidates allotted Architecture seats

Physical reporting at ‘Reporting Centres’ (RCs)

Every candidate who has been given provisional allotment must report to any one of the given below reporting cnetres and take the provisional admission. This is a mandatory step.

If any candidate fails to report then the allotment made will stand cancelled.

The physical verification of the candidate’s documents with respect to the eligibility criteria will be done at the Reporting centres. Candidates will have to provide necessary documents and certificates to prove their candidature at the reporting centres.

The candidates can either choose for the admission in the allotted institution or may opt for up-gradation at the reporting centres.

A provisional admission letter (containing seat allotment detail, fee detail and willingness for up-gradation) will be issued to the candidates at the reporting centres. Admission fee is adjustable and refundable only in respect of candidates withdrawing at any reporting centre in any round of reporting following the refund rules of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. Of India. However, there will be no refund of provisional admission fee from the reporting centres. But the Board will make the necessary arrangements for the refund.

The candidates who have collected their provisional allotment letter and opted for ‘No Up-gradation’ at the reporting centres must proceed to the allotted institutions for admission (within the stipulated date).

Second round: Seat allotment result for second round will be published based on vacancy status of first round of reporting. There will be no fresh registration and choice filling in second round of counselling. All candidates who get first time allotment in second round must report at the Reporting Centre positively during the second round of e-counselling. Otherwise, their seat allotment shall stand cancelled. Also, they will not be considered for further online rounds of seat allotment.

Physical reporting at RCs for verification of the candidate’s documents/ certificates with respect to the eligibility criteria along with provisional admission fees for first time allotted candidates. Students may choose for admission in allotted institution or may opt for up-gradation.

The candidates who opt for ‘YES Up-gradation’ in the first round and are willing to take admission in the allotted seat of the second round must report at the RC during the second round. They can change their willingness from ‘YES Up-gradation’ to ‘NO Up-gradation’ during second round counselling. However, change of up-gradation option from ‘NO’ to ‘YES’ is not allowed.

The candidates who opt for “YES Up-gradation” in the first round and are willing to have further up-gradation after second round need not have to come to the RC during the second round.

Physical reporting as well as admission at the allotted institutions by the candidates who are not willing to opt for up-gradation is permissible after completion of second round counselling.

Generation of report on vacancy status after reporting of second round

Third round: Allotment of seats remains the same as the first two rounds. Vacancy reports will be generated just like previous rounds and Publication of result and physical reporting of fresh allottees and final admission of all candidates in the concerned allotted Institutions will be done at last.

Up-dating of admission data will be done by the Participating Institutes (PI) in PI module. And a report on final admission status for all PIs will be generated by WBJEEB and will be handed over to the office of DTE, Govt. of West Bengal

Note

The allotment of seats to those candidates who do not report within the stipulated period to the RCs (during 1st/2nd/3rd round of counselling) will be cancelled and these candidates will not be considered for seat allotment.
