WBJEE Results 2019

WBJEE Results for the year 2019 was declared on 20th June, 2019 online. Candidates can login and check their results on the website. The WBJEE Board released Model Answer keys followed by Final answer keys prior to result announcement and candidates had the option to challenge the Model Answer keys by paying required fee. Final result will be published in the form of Rank card which contains all relevant ranks, total scores etc.

A Merit list will also be prepared consisting the list of eligible candidates for counselling process.

How to check WBJEE Result 2019

  1. Visit WBJEE 2019 official website.
  2. Click on Result link.
  3. Login using login credentials(Application number, Password and Security pin).
  4. WBJEE 2019 Result will be displayed in the form of Rank card.
  5. Download and take the printout of Rank card.

Merit list

A Merit list will be prepared listing all the eligible candidates who can participate in the counselling process. A separate merit list for reserved candidates will also be prepared.

Evaluation and declaration of result

  1. The Model Answer Keys will be published on the official website shortly after the examination.
  2. Any candidate can challenge any model answer key by logging in with his/her password and paying the mandatory fee.
  3. Challenges of the model answer keys will be accepted online through the link given on the website. The payment fee is ₹500 per question plus the bank’s service charges. The amount is payable by net banking/debit card/ credit card/ e-challan. The fee once paid is non refundable.
  4. The Board will review the challenges and publish Final and Frozen Answer Keys. And final answer keys cannot be challenged.
  5. Images of OMRs and machine read responses will be uploaded in www.wbjeeb.nic.in two to three weeks (tentatively) after the examination.
  6. Any candidate can view the images of his/her OMRs and machine read responses by logging in with his/her password.
  7. The candidates, who are not satisfied with the captured responses can challenge online on the official website by paying ₹500 per question plus bank’s service charges. The amount is payable by net banking/debit card/ credit card/ e-challan. The fee once paid is non-refundable.
  8. The Board will review the challenges and take final decision. The Board’s decision on the challenges will be final and no further communication will be entertained.
  9. Challenges by letter, fax, telephone etc. other than through online mode will not be accepted or entertained.
  10. Candidates may download and preserve images of their OMRs, their machine read responses and answer keys. Such documents will not be available online after publication of result. If any candidate fails to download his/her documents in time and requires any of them after publication of result, he/she will have to pay Rs. 500/- by demand draft in the name of ‘West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board’ payable at Kolkata for each document. The document will be sent to the candidate to his/her registered email ID.
  11. A candidate can calculate his/her score from his/her machine read response and answer keys published. However if any candidate needs a calculation sheet from the Board, he/she will have to pay Rs. 500/- by demand draft for each paper. The calculation sheet will be sent to the candidate to his/her email ID.
  12. Final result will be published in the form of Rank Card, which will contain all Relevant ranks, Total score and Component scores in Paper-I (Mathematics) and Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry).
  13. Candidates can view and download their rank card by logging in with their password.
  14. Duplicate rank cards cannot be generated at any later stage after completion of e-counselling and admission conducted by the Board. Hence candidates are advised to retain their rank cards carefully in a secured place for all future purpose.
  15. If a candidate need a duplicate rank card even after completion of ecounselling and admission conducted by the Board, the same can be provided, In order to get a duplicate rank card, the candidate has to apply to the Board and pay a processing fee of Rs. 500/- by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata

General Merit Rank (GMR)

  1. GMR list is prepared based on total score obtained in Paper I and Paper II taken together.
  2. GMR is applicable for admission to all Engineering/Technology/Architecture and Pharmacy course in Jadavpur University
  3. Ranking is prepared based on decreasing order of the total marks scored in all the subjects and in case ties, tie breaking rule shall be applied.
  4. Separate reserved category merit position will also be indicated for respective category of students i.e SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PWD Rank, TFW Rank.
  5. For WBJEE 2019 counselling and seat allotment process, only the GMR will be considered.

Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR)

  1. PMR list is prepared based on the score in Paper II only.
  2. PMR shall be applicable for admission to all Pharmacy courses except in Jadavpur University
  3. Ranking is prepared based on decreasing order of marks scored in Paper II. In case ties, tie breaking rule shall be applied.
  4. Separate reserved category merit position will also be indicated for respective category of students i.e SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PWD Rank, TFW Rank.
  5. Counselling and admission is done based on PMR only and not Category ranks

Important points on Ranks and Papers

  1. Candidates appearing for both Paper I and Paper II are eligible for both GMR and PMR and such candidates are considered for admission in all courses
  2. Candidates appearing for only Paper II are eligible for PMR only. Such candidates are considered for admission to all Pharmacy courses except in Jadavpur University
  3. Candidates appearing for only Paper I are eligible for any rank

Tie Breaking Rules for GMR

  1. Less negative marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry taken together
  2. More positive marks in Mathematics and Physics taken together,
  3. More positive marks in Mathematics and Chemistry taken together
  4. Less negative marks in Mathematics and Physics taken together
  5. Less negative marks in Mathematics and Chemistry taken together
  6. More positive marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions,
  7. More positive marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions
  8. More positive marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions
  9. Less negative marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions
  10. Less negative marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions

Tie Breaking Rules for PMR

  1. Less negative marks in Physics & Chemistry
  2. More positive marks in Chemistry
  3. Less negative marks in Chemistry
  4. More positive marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions
  5. Less negative marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions
  6. More positive marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions
  7. Less negative marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions.

Final tie breaking rule for GMR amd PMR

If the ties still exists in GMR or PMR then Date of Birth (DOB) will be considered. The older candidate will be preferred over younger one.
