NEET Results 2019

NEET 2020 examination results is expected to release on 4th June 2020. Prior to the declaration of NEET results, the display of OMR sheets and release of answer keys will be carried out by NTA on its website. Candidates who clear this examination can get admissions into Medical, Dental, and AYUSH colleges across the country. NEET cutoff will be released after the declaration of NEET result. NEET Counselling is expected to start in 2nd or 3rd week of June 2020. All India Quota Counselling will be conducted by MCC and State counselling will be conducted by respective states. A separate merit list will be released by both – MCC and the individual states for NEET seat allotment.

Note

NEET-UG-2020 Result will be applicable for admissions to all medical colleges of India including AIIMS and JIPMER as declared on 4th October 2019.

Steps to Check NEET Result 2020

Candidates can check their NEET 2020 result and download NEET scorecards and the step-wise procedure is mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of NEET.

Step 2: Click on ‘NEET Results’

Step 2: Enter NEET 2020 Roll Number, Date of Birth and Security Pin in the given fields. Click on Submit

Step 3: The NEET 2020 result comprising the score card of NEET will be displayed.

Step 4: Download the result of NEET 2020 by clicking on ‘Print’ button and then save it.

Re-checking/re-evaluation of answer sheets

There is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets. This is because of the following reasons

What is All India quota seats?

15% seats surrendered by Government Medical/Dental Colleges run as per the approval of MCI/DCI are filled through the counselling conducted by DGHS are known as All India Quota seats.

The merit list of the eligible and successful candidates who have opted for 15% All India quota seats will be prepared by the NTA on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET (UG) - 2019. The list of successful candidates shall be forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services (Medical Examination Cell), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for the purpose of allotment of seats by Online Counselling to 15% All India Quota Seats

NEET Merit List 2020

The National Testing Agency will prepare an All India Merit List of successful candidates of NEET (UG) – 2020 on the basis of the eligibility criteria provided by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India.

  • All India merit list will be prepared based on the NEET 2020 result.

  • In the merit list, candidates who appeared in NEET 2020 entrance exam will be listed in the order of their NEET All India Rank.

  • Along with the All India Merit List, AIQ (All India Quota) merit list will also be prepared.

  • Candidates who qualify in NEET exam and opt for AIQ (All India Quota) will be included in NEET AIQ (All India Quota) merit list.

  • MCC will conduct NEET AIQ (All India Quota) Counselling 2020 based on AIQ (All India Quota) merit list.

  • For admissions through state counselling, respective state counselling authorities will prepare their separate merit list based on NEET Result.

In case two or more candidates have secured the same marks in NEET exam, tiebreaker (inter-se-merit) of such candidates will be determined in order of preference as mentioned below-

  • Higher marks secured in Biology in NEET will be preferred.

  • If the tie persists, candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in NEET will be preferred.

  • If the tie persists, candidate with a smaller number of wrong answers in will be taken into consideration.

  • If the tie persists, candidate older in age will be preferred for merit ranking.

How Download NEET 2020 AIQ (All India Quota) Rank Letter?

  • The AIQ (All India Quota) rank letter of NEET 2020 will be available in online mode on the same day as result declaration.

  • Candidates can download NEET 2020 AIQ (All India Quota) Rank letter here (Link will be updated soon).

  • CBSE releases separate rank letters for admission to 15% AIQ (All India Quota) seats.

  • Only those candidates who score minimum qualifying marks and opt for AIQ (All India Quota) admissions in NEET 2020 will be able to download NEET AIQ (All India Quota) rank letters 2020.

  • Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counselling for AIQ (All India Quota) based on AIQ (All India Quota) rank provided in NEET AIQ (All India Quota) rank letter 2020.

The result of NEET 2020 will contain the following information:

  • Roll Number of the Candidate

  • Application Number

  • Personal Details (including candidates name, father’s and mother’s name, gender, DOB, nationality, category/sub-category, etc.)

  • Marks Obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology

  • Total Marks obtained

  • Percentile Score

  • NEET All India Rank

  • NEET Qualifying Status

  • NEET AIR for 15% AIQ (All India Quota) seats

  • NEET Cut-off Score
