NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST(NEET) UG 2020 is an all India examination being conducted by the new conducting body, the National Testing Agency (NTA). The Ministry of Human Resource development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions. This exam is for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. NEET exam will be replacing AIIMS and JIPMER from the year 2020 as announced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan.

NEET Eligibility criteria 2020

NEET Eligibility Criteria lists out a set of minimum requirements that a candidate aspiring NEET 2020 must meet/ Those requirements corresponds to the age, Nationality, qualifications, subject combination, reservation, eligibility codes, etc/ Those candidates aspiring to crack NEET 2020 are requested to go through the eligibility of the exam and make sure they satisfy all the criteria. NEET Application Form 2020

The online registration for NEET 2020 has been be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The link will be active from 2nd December 2019 to 31st December 2019. The NTA mandates the need for a student to login to their official website in order to fill the form and submit online. There will not be an offline mode of submission of the form hence a student must stick to the online mode of submission only.

Steps involved in filling the form are as follows-

Step 1- Log on to the NTA official website and click on ‘New Registration’.

Step 2-Uploading photo and Signature.

Step 3- Payment of fees through UPI App/ Debit card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ E-wallet.

NEET Time Table 2020

NEET 2020 exam will be conducted on 3rd May 2020. NTA is the conducting body of NEET 2020 exam. NEET 2020 Time Table contains Number of Subjects, Examination Date Mode of Exam (Offline), Examination time, Duration of Exam (3 hours) and the Conducting Body. The Examination will be held on 3rd May from 2 PM to 5 PM in a duration of 3 hours.

NEET Admit Card 2020

NEET UG Admit card can be downloaded from the official website of NTA. The Admit Card will bear the candidate's Roll Number, Name, Father's Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper with Name and Address of examination centre allotted.

Key points

  • Admit card will be released in ONLINE mode only, it shall not be sent through post/courier.

  • No candidate will be allowed in the examination hall without the valid admit card.

  • When candidate will download the Admit Card, a copy of the same in PDF format will also be emailed to the candidate on the registered E-mail Id.

NEET Exam Pattern 2020

NEET 2020 aspirants can now check out NEET Exam pattern which has been released by NTA for candidates’ reference. NEET is a national level entrance exam which is conducted in Offline mode for the duration of 3 hours. The question paper is divided into 3 sections where each question carries 4 marks.

NEET Answer Key 2020

The official answer key of NEET 2020 will be released most likely in the last week of May. After the release of answer key, it will be open for challenge. This is the point where a candidate can challenge. NEET answer key 2020 will be open for challenging for two days maximum. The NTA will release the Official Answer Keys for NEET 2020 tentatively in the month of May 2020

NEET Syllabus 2020

NEET 2020 syllabus has been released by NTA. The NEET question paper will be based on this syllabus. The syllabus of NEET 2020 will likely remain same as that of the previous year as notified by NTA

NEET Exam centres 2020

NEET exam centres refers to the places allotted by the NTA where the NEET exam will be conducted. In the year 2020 the exam will be conducted across 156 cities throughout India.

The candidates are required to carry the same photograph in Passport size to the examination centre as is uploaded in the Application Form

NEET Results 2020

The NEET 2020 results are expected to be released on June 2020 exactly a month after the NEET exam. No category wise result sheet will be prepared. As soon as the result is ready, NTA will host the results on the website and thereafter candidates may download the Result Sheets. No category wise result sheet will be prepared. After final results candidates cannot apply for rechecking/revaluation of answer sheets.

Steps to check NEET 2020 results

step 1: Visit the official website of NEET

Step 2: Click on NEET Result under the online tab services.

step 2: Enter your NEET 2020 Roll Number and Date of Birth in the given fields.

step 3: The NEET 2020 result comprising the score card of NEET will be displayed.

step 4: Download the result of NEET 2020 by clicking on ‘Print’ button and then save it.

NEET Cut off 2020

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be releasing NEET 2020 Cut off along with NEET result in the month of June. The cut off for NEET 2020 refers to the minimum marks required to qualify the entrance exam. The NEET 2020 cut off will tell about the qualifying status of a candidate and decide if the candidate is eligible to attend further events of NEET 2020 like counselling and seat allotments. Based on NEET scores and All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates, the counselling authorities will release their respective merit lists and hold admissions to respective courses.

NEET Participating Colleges 2020

NEET 2020 offers wide number of colleges which gives candidates a huge number of options to choose from. NEET aspirants who wants to pursue MBBS/BDS course can go through the list of Medical colleges/Dental colleges and the Universities they belong to and choose the college of their wish. About 355 medical colleges and 125 dental colleges have NEET scores as a basis for admission.

  • NEET results will be applicable to all colleges throughout India except JIPMER and AIIMS which conduct their own exams.

  • Candidates aspiring UG courses in AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy), must appear for NEET.

NEET Counselling 2020

NEET 2020 Counselling will commence from the second week of June 2020 i.e. after the results are declared. First and foremost, candidates should register for counselling and fill their preferences. Candidates must note that state level counselling will be organized separately by the respective state authorities.

Steps involved in counselling are as given below-

Step 1- Click on ‘New Registration’ in the official MCC website. Fill in all the details to get your new login credentials.

Step 2- Using the above generated credentials, log on to the same website.

Step 3- Fill in the details asked on the page after logging in and click submit.

Step 4- A page containing the necessary details will appear as per the NTA database. Verify the information and click on ‘Confirm Registration’. A Registration Slip will be generated. Candidates need to take a printout of this page and preserve for further use.

NEET Reservation 2020

NEET UG 2020 follows reservation policy, which caters several seats to various categories. All admissions to MBBS/BDS courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the NEET (UG).

An All India Merit List of the qualified candidates shall be prepared based on All India Rank in the Merit List of the NEET (UG) - 2020 and candidates shall be admitted to MBBS/BDS Courses from the said list only by following the already existing reservation policy.

NTA will provide All India Rank. Admitting Authorities will invite applications for counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the Admitting Authorities. Admission to MBBS/BDS Courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on All India Rank as per merit list of NEET (UG) - 2020.

NEET Seat Allotment 2020

The allotment of the seat will be done just a few days after counselling for NEET-UG-2020. Seat Allotment is an option open for the candidates to get an idea of the seats they can get based on their choices and rank.
