
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) organizes the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2019. KCET exam notification has been officially released by KEA. Below given are the dates according to which the exam will be conducted in the month of April 2019. The main subjects include Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry. Each subject carries 60 marks and the time given will be 1 hour and 20 minutes. Many universities of Karnataka offer admission on the basis of KCET scores. A Kannada language test will also be conducted for both Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannada candidates. Exam will be conducted for all the four subjects in 2 days excluding the Kannada language test which will be conducted separately. In view of the announcement of schedule of Lokasabha Elections 2019 by Election Commission of India on 10/03/2019, Government of Karnataka has directed KEA to conduct the CET-2019 on 29/04/2019 and 30/04/2019 and the Kannada Language test on 01/05/2019 for the year 2019 as per the following revised time table.

KEA Notification for Time Schedule
KANNADA LANGUAGE TEST - only in Bangalore
The candidates who want Government seats under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava, will have to take Kannada language test, to prove their ability to speak, read and write Kannada. The Kannada Language test will be conducted by KEA as per the below schedule only in Bangalore Centres; therefore such candidates will have to appear for the "Common Entrance Test - 2019" in a test centre located at BANGALORE Only. The relevant photocopy of the original documents of the parents in support of their claim such as marks cards, study certificates, etc., along with the CET admission ticket should be produced on the day of Kannada Language Test.

The minimum passing marks for all Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates shall be 12 out of 50 marks in Kannada Language Examination conducted by KEA in order to be considered for assignment of ranks and to become eligible for allotment of seats in CET-2019. (The Kannada Language Test paper will be of 4th Standard Level).
However, the Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA.
- For admission to Medical / Dental / AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani and Homoeopathy) courses, candidates have to appear for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) - 2019 conducted by NTA
- For admission to Architecture course candidates have to appear for JEE Paper -2 or NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture.
KCET Agriculture Practical Test 2019
The KEA will conduct Practical Examination for UG course applicants for Agriculture Universities under Agricultural Quota. The test will be conducted for 200 marks on ‘Identification of Agriculture related Specimens’ on 18th May 2019.
What is the Minimum marks required to claim seat under Agriculturist Quota?
A Minimum of 50% marks in Practical Examination is required to claim seat under Agriculturist Quota. Also, please note that Agriculturist Quota is applicable only for Under Graduate courses - Farm Science courses and Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), you can check the Eligibility criteria (backlink) for more details.

In the case of Agriculturist Quota, the merit list will be prepared based on 25% marks each, secured in concerned combinations in II year PUC (PCMB) & CET and 50% marks secured in the Practical Test. In case of B.V.Sc & AH merit will be prepared based on 50% of Marks secured in CET (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and 50% of marks scored in the practical test.
