JEE Main Application Form 2019

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main exam twice for the year 2019. First in January and Second in April. Candidates can attempt either both or one of them. The application form for the January exam (First attempt) was released on September 1st 2018 and the application form for Second attempt is most likely to release on February 8th 2019. Please note that application forms will be accepted only after fee payment (last date for payment – 1st October, 2018). JEE Main 2019 Category Correction

NTA releases notification asking the applicants to make changes/correction in the category section in their online application form. The candidates must visit the website and login to their account, verify their category (General, OBC-NCL, SC,ST and EWS) and make corrections if necessary. This facility will be open from 15/04/2019 to 17/04/2019.

Applications for JEE Main exam for the month of April has been started (08/02/2019) and interested candidates can apply before the last date (07/03/2019).

The correction facility for JEE Main April 2019 exam will be open from 11/03/2019 to 15/03/2019.

The additional fee (if applicable) for the correction should be paid by the candidates only through credit/debit card/net banking or UPI during the period from 11/03/2019 to 16/03/2019 (11:50 p.m.).

JEE Main examination notification for the month of April 2019 has been released and the registration process has started. Interested applicants can submit application form online from 8th February to 7th March 2019 application fees can be paid from 8th February to 8th March 2019.


Only one application must be submitted. More than one application i.e. multiple application forms submitted by a Candidate will be rejected.

Before filling the JEE Main application form candidates must have

  • Scanned copies of candidate's Photograph, Signature and Signature of father/mother/guardian, Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Enrollment Number.
  • Class 10th and 12th information and certificates.
  • Debit/credit card/net banking (if fee will be paid online).
  • Email ID and Mobile Number.

Provision of AADHAAR

NTA hereby notifies the following:

  • Candidates, who are in possession of Aadhaar, may enter Aadhaar number, name, date of birth & gender in online application for JEE Main 2019 for the purpose of his/her identity and authentication there of.
  • Candidates not yet enrolled for Aadhaar, may make application for Aadhaar enrolment in case he/she is entitled to obtain Aadhaar as per section 3 of Aadhaar Act. Such applicant may visit any Aadhaar enrolment centre (list available at to get enrolled for Aadhaar.
  • The candidates who have enrolled for Aadhaar and have not received Aadhaar should enter 14 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID (Including slash) printed on the Aadhaar enrolment slip at the time of filling online application form for JEE (Main)-2019.

The candidates can also enter the passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Government identity number.

Given below is step-by-step guide to fill JEE Main 2019 application form

Step 1 : Registration for JEE Main(for April month)

  • Visit the Official website of JEE Main.
  • Click on this link for JEE Main April 2019 exam registration.

  • Go through the brief instructions and click on "Proceed to Apply" button (for fresh registartion). If you are registered candidate then click on "Click here to login"
  • To register read the instruction on exam fees, application procedure, download the information bulletin and check the box at the bottom and then click on "Proceed to Apply Online"
  • Fill in the application form carefully by entering Nationality, State of Eligibility, Select Identification Type, Enter the Identification ID of the same, Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Security Pin and click on Submit button.

  • Note down the system generated Application Number.

STEP 2 : Uploading scanned documents

  • Once the application form is carefully filled, the next step is to upload scanned images of signature and photograph.
  • The Candidate's Photograph (between 10 KB-200 KB) and Candidate's Signature (between 4 KB - 30 KB) should be in JPG/JPEG format.

STEP 3 : Payment of fee

  • Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking are the different methods by which a candidate can pay their application fee.
  • Keep a proof of the fee paid.

STEP 4 : Print the confirmation page.

  • Candidate should preserve at least four copies of the confirmation/acknowledgement page for future reference.
  1. The final submission of online Application form will remain incomplete if Step 2 and Step 3 are not completed. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.
  2. No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained.
  3. The entire application process of JEE (Main) January 2019 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees and Printing of Confirmation page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation page to NTA through Post/Fax/By hand.

Instructions to upload the scanned images

  • Before filling up the application form the candidate should have a scanned image of his/her photograph, signature and father's/mother's/guardian's signature.
  • The photograph should be colour or b/w (but clear contrast) with name of the candidate and date of taking the photograph printed on it as shown below.
  • Cap/goggles must not be worn in the photograph. Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable.
  • Candidates may keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of entrance examination, Seat Allocation Process and Admission.

Candidates must reserve 6-8 copies of identical photographs for further processes with respect to entrance exam, seat allocation and admission.Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form. Multiple applications from a candidate will be rejected.

JEE Main 2019 Application form fee

After the registration is completed, candidates will be redirected to payment portal if he/she chooses to pay the application fee, online.

Candidates can choose any method of fee payment from the following

  • Debit Card ( SBI / other Banks)
  • Internet Banking ( SBI/other Banks)
  • Credit Cards (domestic/International)
  • Cash Deposit (through e-challan in any of the SBI branches across India)

JEE Main 2019 Application Form Correction(January and April exam)

This facility is provided for the candidates who have provided wrong information in their application form. The last date to avail this facility is 14th October 2019(January exam) and 15th March 2019 (April exam).

The additional fee (if applicable) should be paid by the candidates only through credit/debit card/net banking or UPI during the period from 11.03.2019 to 16.03.2019 (11:50 p.m.).

The candidates are advised to visit the website and verify their particulars. If desired, the candidates can make correction in only one of the following fields:

  • Candidate’s Name (or)
  • Mother’s Name (or)
  • Father’s Name

Besides the above mentioned particulars, the candidates can also make correction in all other fields in their application form except the choice of cities.

Since, it is a onetime facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardship to them, the candidates are informed to undertake the correction(s) very carefully as no further chance will be given.

Steps involved in JEE Main application form correction

  1. Click on the link ‘Correction in Application form for JEE Main January and April 2019 examination including EWS category’.
  2. Enter your Application number, Password and security pin. Click login.
  3. Choose the details that needs to be edited. Edit all the wrong details and then verify the newly entered details before submitting it.
  4. Make payment of the requisite amount of fee for the correction.
  5. Click on submit.
