JEE Main Answer Key 2019

Answer Keys for JEE Main 2019 examination has been released for January session 2019. Candidates can challenge the answer keys online. Official Answer keys for JEE Main April session exam will be released shortly, but for now candidates can refer the answer key released by institute like Resonance. Both the answer keys for Paper 1 and Paper 2 have been released (for January session). By referring the answer key, candidates can try to calculate their approximate JEE Main score, which is done by comparing candidates response to the correct answer given in the JEE Main 2019 answer key. JEE Main Final Answer key (Paper 2) and Results

NTA released Final answer key for JEE Main Paper 2. The exam was conducted on 7th April 2019. Prior to this the preliminary answer keys for JEE Main was released and candidates were asked to submit challenges, if they have any. Candidates can download the JEE Main Final Answer key PDF here. Out of 61510 candidates appearing in both the months, 27624 Candidates have improved their performance. The results have been declared on 14th May.

JEE Main Final Answer key and NTA Score Released

NTA released Final answer key for JEE Main Paper 1 on April 29th 2019. The exam for Paper 1 was conducted on 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th of April 2019 in two shifts. Prior to this the preliminary answer keys for JEE Main was released on 16th April 2019 and candidates were asked to submit challenges, if they any. Candidates can download the JEE Main Final Answer key PDF here. Applicants may also check their NTA score here,

Enter Application number, DOB and Security pin and click on Submit.

The National Testing Agency has uploaded the Answer Key for candidates to challenge. This facility is available from 14/04/2019 to 16/04/2019 (up to 11:50 PM). ).The Candidates are required to pay online a sum of Rs. 1000/- as processing fee to challenge the answer key. The payment of the processing fee may be made through Debit/Credit Card/ Net Banking. The processing fee will be refunded if the challenge is found correct. No challenge will be entertained without receipt of processing fee.

Display of Question Papers and Responses

JEE Main 2019 has been successfully concluded. The April session exam which began on April 7th 2019 was concluded on April 12th 2019. The exam was conducted in 2 shifts in CBT mode. NTA released a notification on April 14th 2019 regarding the display of question papers and responses on their official website. Candidates can visit the website to view their respective question paperand responses.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has displayed Candidate Question Paper and the responses attempted thereon by each candidate on the website- https://jeemain.nic.in. Please visit the website and click on ‘Display Question Papers and Responses’ after which the candidates can use their credentials to login and view their responses. This facility will remain available from 14/04/2019 to 16/04/2019 only. The candidates are advised to save their question papers and responses for future reference.

JEE Main April 2019 Paper I and Paper II Analysis

The JEE Main 2019 exam commenced for the second time on 7th April 2019 for Paper II. The exam was conducted across 370 exam centres (including 9 abroad exam centres). As per NTA, a total of 1,69,767 candidates registered for the paper II (B.Arch/B. Planning aspirants) which was conducted in 2 shifts on Day 1. Examination for Paper I was held on 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th of April 2019. A total of 9,35,741 candidates registered for Paper 1 of JEE Main 2019 April exam at 470 exam centres.

Day 1 (07/04/2019) – Paper II (for B.Arch/B. Planning aspirants)

On 7th April 2019, JEE Main Paper II examination was conducted in 2 shifts across 370 exam centres (including 9 abroad exam centres). Mathematics and General Aptitudes sections in the exam paper were online (computer based), whereas, Drawing test was in Pen & Paper (offline) mode.

The 1st shift of JEE Main Paper II for April session was comparatively easy than the January session. According to few students the toughest section to crack was Mathematics, while General Aptitude and Drawing were the easiest of all but drawing was time consuming in both the shifts. It is also reported that only 40% questions were asked from CBSE Class 12 while 60% questions were from CBSE Class 11 in the maths section. Most of the students are expecting more than 90 percentile in JEE Main 2019 Paper 2.

Day 2 (08/04/2019) – Paper I (for for B.E/B.Tech aspirants)

On Day 2 i.e., 8th April 2019, JEE Main Paper I examination was successfully conducted across 470 exam centres (including 9 abroad exam centres) in 2 shifts.

Day 3 (09/04/2019) – Paper I (for for B.E/B.Tech aspirants)

Continuing with a good spirit, JEE Main 2019 April session exam was successfully concluded on 9th April 2019. The question paper was overall moderate and Chemistry continued to be the easiest of all the sections while physics and maths proved to be difficult according to the students. According to the news report and students feedback, some of the questions were repeated i.e., taken from previous year question paper. 4 questions were repeated from previous year exam in physics and even mathematics problems repeated from previous year paper.

Paper 1 continues with chemistry being easiest. The paper was overall of moderate difficulty. The physics part proved to be tricky with many application based problems while trigonometry and calculus problems in mathematics proved to be time consuming and lengthy.

P.S: Day 1 and Day 2 analysis for Paper I suggest that students start their exam with Chemistry section to score better marks.

Day 4 (10/04/2019) – Paper I (for for B.E/B.Tech aspirants)

Paper I exam was successfully completed 2 shifts on 10th April 2019. The paper was considered easier than the papers on 8th and 9th April comparatively. Chemistry continued to be the easiest section while mathematics was not so difficult (but lengthy according to students feedback) compared to the other days, physics remained moderate and tricky.

Day 5 (12/04/2019) – Paper I (for for B.E/B.Tech aspirants)

JEE Main examination 2019 (Paper concluded successfully on 12th April 2019. The 1st shift was completed at 12:30 PM and the 2nd shift at 5:30 PM. The paper was considered easy to moderate than the papers on 8th, 9th and 10th April respectively. Chemistry continued to be the easiest section while mathematics was moderate with mostly lengthy calculations (according to students feedback)compared to the other days, physics was the toughest section

Answer Key Challenge for Paper I and Paper II (April 2019)

  • NTA will display official answer keys for Paper I and Paper II on their official website after the conclusion of JEE Main examination. Candidates can challenge the answer keys online. The link to challenge the answer keys will be uploaded on the official website and challenges will be accepted only through this link on payment of Rs. 1000/- per question. The fee once paid is non-refundable. The NTA’s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained.

  • The result will be compiled using final answer keys. No grievance with regard to answer key will be entertained after the declaration of JEE(Main) April 2019 result

  • Evaluation of multiple choice questions of Paper I and Paper II will be carried out using final answer keys and the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of JEE (Main)-April2019.

  • For multi-shift papers, raw marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score.

  • The detailed procedure on NTA Score being adopted is available on NTA’s website.

Procedure for Challenge of Answer Key

  1. Please go to website https://jeemain.nic.in
  2. Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin as displayed and Submit.
  3. Click ‘Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key’.
  4. You will see 90 Questions (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) IDs for Paper I and Questions (Mathematics/Aptitude) IDs for Paper II They are in sequential order.
  5. The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the correct Answer Key to be used by NTA.
  6. If you wish to challenge this option, you may use anyone or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.
  7. After clicking your desired option, both for Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics for paper I and Mathematics/Aptitude IDs for Paper II scroll down, ‘Save your Claim’ and move to next screen.
  8. You will see a display of all the Option IDs you have challenged.
  9. You may want to upload supporting documents in which you can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents to be put in a single .pdf file).
  10. Click on ‘Save your Claim Finally’.
  11. You will find a screen displaying your challenges.
  12. Kindly pay the processing fee by clicking on ‘Click here to Pay Fee’.
  13. Select Mode of Payment and Pay your processing fee @ Rs.1,000/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.
  14. In case your challenge is found correct, your processing fee will be refunded in the same account. Final Answer key for Paper 2.

The final answer keys for Paper 2 has been released by NTA. The exam was conducted on 8th January 2019 in the 1st shift for B.Arch/B.Planning applicants. The Question ID and Correct option ID are released for all the subjects i.e., Mathematics and Aptitude test.

Display of Question Paper and Responses

JEE Main exam candidates can now view Question paper and responses on the Official website.

Please “login and click link for display of your question papers and your responses.” to view the responses. This facility will remain available from 14/01/2019 to 17/01/2019 (05:00 PM) only. The candidates are advised to save their question papers and responses for future reference.

Challenge of Answer Key

9,41,117 candidates were registered for JEE Main examination which was conducted online across the country and abroad from 8th to 12th January 2019 and NTA has uploaded the Answer key for candidates to challenge. Candidates can challenge the answer keys from 15th to 17th January 2019. The fee required to challenge is Rs. 1000/- per question challenged. The payment of the processing fee may be made through Debit/Credit Card/ Net Banking. The processing fee will be refunded if the challenge is found Correct. No challenge will be entertained Without receipt of processing fee.

Final Answer key for Paper 1

The final answer keys for Paper 1 has been released by NTA. The exam was conducted on 9th January 2019 in the 1st shift. The Question ID and Correct option ID are released for all the 3 subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

How to calculate marks based on final answer keys?

To calculate your JEE Main 2019 marks or raw scores, download the answer keys provided here. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and every wrong attempt gets a one mark deduction i.e., -1. For questions not attempted, a zero would be provided. Also, in case the question has been dropped (marked --5-- in final answer key) the student would be provided +4 for that question - whether or not attempted.
