JEE Main Admit Card 2019

NTA will release JEE Main 2020 Admit Card/Hall Ticket on the official website which will available to download from 6th December 2019 for January month exam. Eligible candidates who have applied for JEE Main 2020 examination can download admit card on - Candidates need to enter his details such as application number and password to access their respective admit cards.

The JEE Main 2020 examination will be conducted twice (January and April) in 2020. A coloured printout of the admit card must be taken to the exam venue along with a valid ID proof. Read the steps to download the admit card below.

JEE Main 2020- Key Points

  • JEE Main 2020 admit card will be issued by National Testing Agency (NTA) only to those candidates who are eligible, if any discrepancies are found in the application form then admit card will not be issued.

  • Candidates must verify the details on admit card that is, name, date of birth, category, gender, exam centre, examination date, signature, application number etc. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination without JEE Main 2020 admit card.

  1. Visit JEE Main April 2020 website

  2. Click on ‘Download JEE Main April 2020 Admit Card’

  3. You will be redirected to new page. Select one of two options–

    1. Through Application number and Password
    2. Through Application number and Date of Birth
  4. Enter Application number/Password and the security pin in the provided space.

  5. Click on Login to download the admit card


Only registered candidates can sign in to access the document.

Things that must be carried along with JEE Main Admit card

Along with the original valid JEE Main Admit card/Hall ticket it is important to carry certain necessary things which if forgotten shall result in no entry inside the exam hall, so please make sure you have everything covered before setting out to write the exam. The necessary to be carried along with Admit card are as follows:

  • One Passport size photo which is same as the one uploaded with the JEE Main online application form

  • A valid ID proof in Original. The ID can be - PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ E- Aadhaar/ etc

  • Note: ID Cards issued by Schools/ Colleges/ Universities/ Coaching Centres, AADHAR enrolment receipt without AADHAR NUMBER and PHOTOCOPIES OR Images Stored in mobile phones etc will NOT be accepted

  • PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category

  • Candidates who are attempting Paper II can carry Geometry Box Set, Pencils, Erasers and Colour Pencils or Crayons

JEE Main 2020 Admit card contents:

  • Candidate’s Name

  • Roll number

  • Father’s name

  • Paper/Papers Chosen

  • Date of Birth

  • Application number

  • Gender

  • Address of Exam Center

  • State Code of Eligibility

  • Category

  • Reporting time at the centre

  • Exam Date & Timing

  • Passport Sized Photograph (as uploaded)

  • Signature (as uploaded)

  • Medium of Question Paper

  • General Instructions for the exam

Retrieve password/Application Number

In case the candidate has forgotten his/her password/application number then follow the below steps to recover it:

Step 1: Open JEE Main admit card page

Step 2: Click on ‘Download Admit Card of JEE Main 2020’

Step 3: Click on ‘I cant access my account’

Step 4: Select either of the below options depending on what to retrieve

  • ‘Forgot my Password’

  • ‘Forgot my Application number’

Step 5: Following recovery options will be displayed and candidates can select any one and click on ‘Continue’

  • Using the security question and answer selected while filling the JEE Main 2020 application form.

  • Using a Verification text message (SMS) on the registered mobile number.

  • Using Reset link on the registered Email.

General instructions for Online exam

  • Candidates can practice mock test which is available on JEE Main website to familiarize with the look and feel of online exam.

  • The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Admit card and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.

  • The test will be of 3 hours. duration and in the shifts mentioned in the admit card.

  • Students will not be allowed inside the exam hall without the admit card and ID Proof.

  • Stationery items like Ballpoint pen, paper for the offline examination will be provided at the centre only.
