AIIMS Seat Allotment 2019

Seat Allotment for AIIMS 2019 has been commenced after the submission of choices by the candidates in the Counselling round from 26th June 2019 to 27th June 2019. Based on the choices made and availability of seats the allocation of seats will be done by AIIMS admitting authority. As there are 3 counselling rounds, the rounds for seat allotment will also be the same. The result of Counselling Round 1 has been announced. A mock round of seat allotment will be executed to help candidates familiarize with the process prior to the release of 1st Round allotment. Once the result is declared and if a candidate has been allotted seat then he/she will have 4 options in hand either to accept or decline the seat. More details on options can be read below.

The list of eligible candidates for Seat allotment has been released by AIIMS, New Delhi. Candidates can view the PDF to view their result and also the AIIMS cutoff for 2019.

Candidates will be allocated their choice/s of the Institute through the Seal allotment process as per their rank in their respective category. Choice thus made will be final and no further claim will be entertained in this regard thereafter.

The total numbers of candidates eligible for the Mock Round/1st Round of Seat Allocation/Online Counselling are four times the actual number of seats advertised in each category [except AIIMS, Mangalagiri (Guntur), wherein the seats are finalized to be 50: UR-27, OBC-13, SC-7, ST-3] as per the AIIMS notification.

All candidates (including those not mentioned in this list) may view/download their results in the website www.aiimsexams.org.

Seat Allotment Result for 2nd Round

The result of AIIMS MBBS counselling 2019 round 2 has been announced on 22nd July 2019. The seat allotment of AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be done on the basis of preferences filled, rank secured in AIIMS MBBS and seats available. Candidates allotted seats in the 2nd round are divided into 3 groups – Group A, Group B and Group C. The procedures are different for each Group. It is mandatory for all candidates who have been allotted seats in 2nd Round to login and exercise one of the options – Option 1, Option 2 or Option 3 by the 26th July 2019 (5:00 PM).

2nd Round Vacant Seats

AIIMS has released MBBS 2nd Round Vacant Seat Position across the participating institutes according to the category. Please refer the link to download the PDF

Group A: Candidates who had chosen option 2 in the 1st Round of Online Seat allocation/Counselling and participated in the 2nd Round. There are two out comes for them:

  • Group A I: Candidates who have been allotted same seat (AIIMS) in the 2nd Round as they had been allotted in 1st Round (@against roll numbers).

  • Group A II: Candidates who have been allotted a better choice seat (AIIMS) in the 2nd Round as compared to 1st Round in the different AIIMS or has been allocated seats as MRC in same AIIMS.

  • Group A III: Candidates marked with RS# who had chosen option 2 in the 1st Round but did not login for the 2nd Round.

Group B: Candidates who had chosen option 4 in the 1st Round of Seat allocation.

Group C: Candidates who were not allotted seat in the 1st Round but now have been allotted seat in the 2nd Round of seat allocation.

Instructions for candidates belonging to Group A I

Option 1: Accept allotted seat and DO not wish to participate in further rounds of Seat Allocation. The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the My Page on AIIMS website) and report in person to the allotted AIIMS by 26th July 2019 (5.00 P.M).

Option 2: Accept allotted seat and WANT to participate in 3rd round of Seat Allocation. The candidate must email a scanned copy of the duly signed Offer Letter (downloaded from the website) to email id of the respective AIIMS(mentioned below) by the 26th July 2019 (5.00 P.M). A hard copy of duly signed Offer Letter must be sent by Speed Post Only to the respective AIIMS. The candidate must login if they wish to participate in the 3rd Round of seat allocation on dates mentioned in the Important Dates link. The certificates/DD will be transferred internally within respective AIIMS.

Option 3: Decline/Refuse allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of Seat Allocation. A penalty of 1 Lakh will imposed on the candidate and the allotted seat will be vacated and made available in the 3rd Round of Seat allocation. The candidates must report to the respective AIIMS. Candidate will not be eligible for 3rd Round of seat allocation.

Instructions for candidates belonging to Group A II

Option 1: Accept allotted seat and DO NOT wish to participate in further rounds of Seat Allocation. The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the website) and report in person to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00P.M., Friday, the 26th July 2019. The certificates/DD will be transferred internally within respective AIIMS.

Option 2: Accept allotted seat and WANT to participate in 3rd round of Seat Allocation. A penalty of 1 Lakh will imposed on the candidate and the allotted seat will be vacated and made available in the 3rd Round of Seat allocation. The candidates must report to the respective AIIMS. Candidate will not be eligible for 3rd Round of seat allocation.

Instructions for candidates belonging to Group A III

The candidates are required to report in person to the allocated AIIMS in the 1st Round by 5:00 P.M the 26th July 2019. Their candidature is now treated as having chosen option 1 in the 2nd Round of seat allocation.

Instructions for candidates belonging to Group B

Option1: Accept allotted seat and do NOT wish to participate in further rounds of Seat Allocation. The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage on the website) and report in person to the allotted AIIMS by 26th July 2019, 5:00 PM. The certificates/DD will be transferred internally within respective AIIMS.

Option 2: Accept allotted seat and WANT to participate in 3rd round of Seat Allocation. The candidate must email a scanned copy of the duly signed Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage on the website) to email id of the respective AIIMS (mentioned below) by 5.00 P.M., Friday, the 26th July 2019. A hard copy of duly signed Offer Letter must be sent by Speed Post Only to the respective AIIMS. The candidate must login if they wish to participate in the 3rd Round of seat allocation on dates mentioned. The certificates/DD will be transferred internally within respective AIIMS.

Option3: Decline/Refuse allotted seat and do NOT wish to participate in 3rd round of Seat Allocation. A penalty of 1 Lakh will be imposed on the candidate and the allotted seat will be vacated and made available in the 3rd Round of Seat allocation. The candidates must report to the respective AIIMS. Candidate will not be eligible for 3rd Round of seat allocation.

Instructions for candidates belonging to Group C

Option1: Accept allotted seat and do NOT wish to participate in further rounds of Seat Allocation. The candidate must report to the allocated AIIMS in 2nd Round with in the dates mentioned.

  • The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00P.M., Friday, the 26th July 2019 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage from the website) and report in person to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft(DD) of Rs.1 Lakh only in the name of the allotted AIIMS(see details below) along with photo copies of certificates. The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited.

  • It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is opting not to participate in further rounds of seat allocation.

  • If original certificates are not deposited at the time of joining, these will have to be submitted within 5 days of taking admission, otherwise admission will be cancelled, the deposited money will be forfeited, and candidate will not be eligible for any further participation in counselling.

  • In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not join by 5:00 P.M.,Friday, the 26th July 2019, the admission will be cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of seat Allocation/Counselling. However these candidates can participate in the Open Round of SeatAllocation/Counselling.

Option 2: If the option of ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3rd ROUND of Seat Allocation is selected then,

  • The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00P.M., Friday, the 26th July 2019 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage from the website) and report in person to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.1 Lakh only (Rupees One Lakh only) in the name of the allotted AIIMS (see details below) along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited for joining a seat in any round of counselling but will be forfeited if no seat is taken at the end of all rounds.

  • In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not join by 5.00 P.M., Friday, the 26th July 2019, the admission will be cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Seat Allocation/counselling.

  • The candidate shall be eligible for the 3rd round of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling.

Option 3: If the option of Decline/refuse allotted seat and do NOT wish to participate in 3rd ROUND of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling is selected then,

  • The allocated seat will be vacated and the candidate will not be eligible to participate in 3rd Round of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling. The Candidate will not be able to claim this seat if this option is selected.

  • It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is opting not to participate in 3rd rounds of online seat allocation/counselling.

Note

Any candidate who has been allocated a seat in the 2nd Round of counselling/Seat Allocation and does NOT respond in any of the above manner, his/her seat shall be vacated and he/she shall be ineligible for all further Rounds of counselling except the Open Round of Counselling.

Accept or refusal of allotted seats

After the candidates are allotted seats during process of seat allotment, they must decide whether to accept the allotted seat or refuse it.The candidates must choose one of the following 4 options given below on the Online Seat Allocation/Counselling portal between 1st July 2019 (5:00 PM) to 4th July 2019 (5:00 PM). Failure to select any of the option as below will lead to forfeiture of the allocated seat and the candidate will become ineligible to participate in 2nd and 3rd Round.

Option 1: Accept the seat

Candidates who accept the allotted seat and Do Not wish to participate in further rounds of seat allocation.

  • If any candidate who has been allotted seat choose Option 1, then he/she should go to the official reporting address of allotted AIIMS (which is given below) by 5.00 PM on 4th July 2019 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1 Lakh only (Rupees One Lakh only) in the name of the allotted AIIMS (see details below) along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited.
  • If original certificates are not deposited at the time of reporting, then the candidates can submit them within 5 days of taking admission, otherwise admission will be cancelled, the deposited money will be forfeited, and candidate will not be eligible for any further participation in counselling.
  • In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report by 5.00 PM on 4th July 2019, the offer of admission will be cancelled and he / she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling. However these candidates can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation / Counselling.

Option 2: Accept the seat and want to participate in 2nd round of seat allocation

  • The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00 PM on 4 th July 2019 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1Lakh only (Rupees One Lakh only) in the name of the allotted AIIMS (see details below) along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited for joining a seat in any round of counselling but will be forfeited if no seat is taken at the end of all rounds.

  • If the candidate fails to report to the allotted institute by 5:00 PM on 4th July 2019 (after exercising the 2nd option), then the admission will be cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling except Open Round of Counselling.

  • The candidate shall be eligible for the 2nd round of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling.

Option 3: Decline/Refuse the allotted seat and Do not wish to participate in 2nd and 3rd round of seat allocation

If a candidate has been allotted seat and he/she does not accept the seat and also do not want to participate in 2nd and 3rd round of allotment, then:

  • The allocated seat will be vacated and the candidate will not be eligible to participate in 2nd and 3rd Round of Seat Allocation. The Candidate will not be able to claim this seat if this option is selected.

Option 4: Decline/Refuse the seat and want to participate in 2nd round of seat allocation

If a candidate has been allotted seat and he/she does not accept the seat and want to participate in 2nd round of allotment, then :

  • This allocated seat will be vacated and the candidate will not be able to claim this seat.
  • The candidate should download the Offer Letter (from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report to official reporting address of any fifteen AIIMS (AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Mangalagiri (Guntur), Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, Bathinda, Deogarh, Gorakhpur, Kalyani, Rae Bareli and Telangana) to deposit either the original certificates or Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1 Lakh only in the name of Director, AIIMS, New Delhi with Photocopies of certificates
  • The Certificates/DD along with photocopies of certificates can be deposited at official reporting address of any of the Fifteen AIIMS by the candidate or his/her authorized representative by 5.00 PM on 4th July 2019.
  • The candidate shall be eligible for 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling only after Original Certificates/DD with photocopies of certificates has been deposited at any AIIMS.
  • The certificates will be verified for eligibility.

Failure to select any option

If any candidate fails to login or select any option within the particular date and time, then he/she will lose the allotted seats and will be considered ineligible to appear for second and third round of counselling.

Documents/Certificates/DD Depositing Policy

The claim to the allotted seat by candidates is subject to verification of the documents for eligibility as applicable as well as biometric verification of candidature. If a candidate fails to submit required certificates (original or photocopies with DD) his/her candidature will be cancelled, the seat will be vacated for next Round and he/she will not be allowed to participate in subsequent stages of selection/admission process. However the candidate will be eligible for the Open Round of Seat Allocation / Counselling.

Reporting to the allotted institute

Once the seat is accepted, candidates need to appear at the allotted AIIMS institute with the relevant documents for verification and completion of admission process. Candidates are advised to take the set of photocopies and original ones along with the Demand Draft. The list of documents to be furnished at the time of counselling of AIIMS MBBS 2019 are mentioned below.

Documents to be carried to the allotted AIIMS institute

The documents/certificates required to be deposited in original or photocopy along with DD is given below:

  • Offer letter
  • Registration slip
  • Admit card of AIIMS MBBS 2019
  • Self-attested copy of certificate in proof of passing Class 12 from a recognised board as mentioned in AIIMS MBBS eligibility criteria 2019
  • Self-attested copy of certificate from board for date of birth
  • Self-attested copy of Class 12 mark sheets (in proof of having secured 60% or more marks and 50% in case of SC/ST in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology)
  • Along with this, candidates belonging to reserved categories must also carry the following documents:
  • SC/ST certificate issued by the competent authority in English or Hindi language and the community must be mentioned clearly in the certificate.
  • OBC certificate issued by the authority for Central Government jobs/for admission in Central Government College/Institute. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. And the OBC Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer. OBC certificate must be in the Central Government format as prescribed.
  • Disability certificate issued from the duly constituted and authorized medical board as prescribed
  • Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation and the seal of the officer should be legible in the certificate.
Note
  • OBC aspirants should not belong to creamy layer. The certificate must be in the central government format as mentioned in the prospectus.
  • It must also be noted that the certificate from any other authority or board will not be accepted and no further correspondence will be entertained.
  • The name, designation and the seal of the officer should be legible in the certificate.

Reporting Institutes for AIIMS Admission for 2nd Round of Seat Allocation

Candidates who have been allotted seat and have chosen an option that requires them to deposit certificate/DD should approach Nodal officer/official at respective AIIMS as given below. Those who have chosen option 1 and 2 (see above) and wish to deposit DD then the DD should be in the favour of respective AIIMS as mentioned below. For the candidates who have chosen Option 4, i.e. Decline/Refuse the allotted seat and want to participate in 2nd round of Seat Allocation, the Demand Draft (as applicable) shall be in the name of Director, AIIMS, New Delhi irrespective of the AIIMS where the DD is submitted.

Some policies regarding eligibility for 2nd round of allotment

  • The candidates who were allocated seats in the 1st round but had chosen the option 2 and 4 (mentioned above) and have fulfilled the requirements are eligible for the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling.

  • All the candidates who had participated in the 1st round and were not allocated any seat will automatically be eligible for the next round.

  • Those who have secured more than 50th percentile marks in the entrance examination but were not called for 1st round counselling will not be eligible for the 2nd and 3 rd round of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling but they will be eligible for Open Round of Seat Allocation/Counselling.

  • All candidate who were eligible for the Mock/1st Round of Counselling but did not register or fill choices (NR/NP in this notification) are not eligible for the 2nd and 3 rd rounds of counselling.
